eMunicipality
eAdministration is a part of Good Governance in which public participates in requesting for service, availing it and also monitoring the overall process for quality, speed etc. It makes the system transparent to a citizen because he is involved in various steps of administration. Government of India has embarked upon National eGovernance Action Plan for 2003-2007. The Plan has laid foundation for long-term growth of eGovernance within the country. Keeping this in view National Informatics Centre (NIC), Pune launched “eMunicipality“ – an eAdministration Project for Urban Local Bodies.
Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of India are the constitutionally provided administrative units that provide basic infrastructure and services in cities and towns.
